embracing menswear is something i've admired, but barely have the ~cojones~ to pull off. it has something to do with my figure being more in the hourglass department than the twig, that i just feel more comfortable in girly silhouettes, but maybe it's all in my head.

i've been wearing narrow leg pants & jeans for so long now that it feels strange to wear a looser fit. anyways, i'm trying something new! i think i might get another pair of trousers and try to tailor them a bit, make them slimmer, but i'll have to bug friends with a sewing machine/skillz. and i really want to do that rolly thing at the bottom with them.

& a little more inspiration..

Hannukah/Christmas is comin' and I'm trying to get us a sewing machine for da house.
ReplyDeleteThe top is so pretty!!!
ReplyDeletesqueels! you look so cute in that outfit! love the pants! :)
ReplyDeleteyou look SO good in those pants! i think it's the nipped waist + belt that really pulls them off. and i like that you paired them with such a ladylike blouse. four stars.
ReplyDeleteYou look perfect girl! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThe pants looks great on you, don't doubt about it! I like how you wear it with that feminine shirt!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna save your picture if you don't mind!
You look great. I feel the same way about menswear. I think pulling off the look can come across as so confident and sexy, more so than wearing some frilly dress. Well done. Maybe I'll try to get some cajones, and some trousers : )
ReplyDeleteah yes...i am completely into the androgynous look right now.
ReplyDeleteI love how you toned down the masculine with the feminine blouse. Great pairing. I think you should definitely invest in another pair of trousers. They are a good staple.
ReplyDeletei'm much too short to wear those, but you wear them well
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT TOO.
ReplyDeleteGREAT LOOK!

You pulled this look off so well :D! Looks very put together.
ReplyDeleteYour blouse is fantastic. I definitely love Annie Hall/Katherine Hepburn chic style, but I don't know if I can pull it off...you do it nicely!
ReplyDeleteI think you pulled this off quite nicely and I can see you in slimmer trousers with the cuffed legs. You should definitely try it (but then again, I love the cuffed look). And that blouse is wonderful with its pleat details!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic! I'm not really a trousers-wearer myself, though I used to be! I think part of it is that I just don't know how to style them! I love your inspiration pics, though, and might give my one pair of jeans a whirl again!
ReplyDeletethat outfit looks amazing on you. you can totally rock the menswear, and everything for that matter.
ReplyDeleteadorable! xo
i love the first picture :) and i totally agree- menswear is veryyyy fun to play around with !
ReplyDeletei never was brave enough to even try a boyfriend cardigan, i think i'm not shaped for masculine inspired clothing either.
ReplyDeletebut you sure look GREAT with that outfit!

ReplyDeleteyes yes, i support this move one hundred percent! you look fantastic! i think i've been inspired by the character of shoshanna in "inglourious basterds" to try the wide-leg pants and blouse combination, but you just reinforced my resolve to wear the pants!
