meet my typewriters! i got them last summer, in the back of my favorite thrift store, a few weeks apart. i felt silly buying the second one, but i couldn't pass up the perfect robin's egg blue..
the scholar: electric, boxy and beige, but easier to type on!
bundy: sleek, blue, retro, and portable!
writing letters to old friends is reaching the top of my to do list!

ReplyDeleteamazing. love the blue one. i once bought a portable typewriter while i was living in SF and lugged it all the way home (up many hills) and never used it! silly me! i hope you get lots of use out of yours!

I love the robin blue! I saw one like that at a vintage store, but they were charging an arm and a leg for it, so I had to settle for a kind of ugly green one from a garage sale. I need to write on it more.

i have a typewriter, but it needs to be oiled! and i have no idea how to oil it or where to take it to get it oiled :(
