charlie, the dog i grew up with, passed away yesterday. she was an old lady and lived a long (112 dog years!) happy life so i'm trying to think positively. but man, i thought she was gonna live forever.

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It's hard when you grow up with a pet for a good part of your life, but at the same time you'll have lots of wonderful memories and I'm sure she must of had a great life! She's wagging her tail in Doggy Heaven now!

ReplyDeleteI've experienced my share of pet loss. And it taught me how differently boys and girls cope with loss. I grieved for weeks and my brother, on the other hand, bought a new pup right away! Sheesh...

I'm sorry about the loss of your dog :( I lost my childhood dog Rosco this year, and although he lived a long life, I was still really upset to loose him. It's always hard to loose a friend.

that must be so heartbreaking... we found out that Roxy, the dog we found and kinda adopted a few weeks ago was very sick and she died as well... i cried the whole night... :(

I'm really sorry to hear that, and I know exactly how you feel. My dog passed away almost 2 years ago, but I still miss him like crazy. As my grandpa told me though "It’s unfortunate that the life span of dogs doesn’t more closely match that of their owners, but it does give us the opportunity to share our lives with more than one of these remarkable creatures." That was something that helped me a lot during my mourning process, so I hope you find some comfort in it as well. RIP Charlie.

This is heart-breaking...

But the good thing is, to have all the memories we got along while they're still alive..
