all dressed up

i was a little apprehensive about the anniversary dinner (james is really expensive!) but it was so worth it. it was too dark for photos, and anyways that's pretty tacky, but every course was beautiful and delicious. we had some kind of mushroom soup with carrot gnocchi cousins, followed by 'venus's jewel case', and then i had lobster for my main dish. fancy stuff!

it was fun to get a little dressy so i'm continuing the vibe. oh, and lexie asked about photos of alex- we have so few together cause i'm always making him play photographer! but here's a silly one of him with a friend (he's gonna be pissed when he see's i've posted this):

    I love the velvet-top-matte-bottom thing of the dress. As someone with a significantly curvier backside than frontside, that is pretty much genius in my book :P
