i dressed all ladylike yesterday since i am spending today in shorts and a tee shirt while getting sweaty from moving all my stuff into the new place. thank goodness is isn't thunder storming, but it is in the 90s so i wouldn't mind! i sort of hate putting my hair up in a pony tail but it's not quite long enough for a successful braid. need to work on braiding skills.

not sure how my internet situation is going to be for the next week, but hopefully i'll be all set up by the end of the week. hopefully.

went to a flea market last weekend, didn't get nothin but alex bought a couple sweet records. the week is just flying by, summer is official, june is almost over, i've started packing up... but i can't stop thinking about sneaking into my neighbors kiddy pool and eating popsicles.

and those are my new goofy 60s inspired shades. totally silly! more space goggles than sunglasses.. bought them from a friend who did the sidewalk sale with me for $1.

don't know where to start! think i'll bore you with a list instead..

things on my mind:

1. working too much vs not enough
2. freaks and geeks (finally found online!)
3. bp oil spill (uhhhgg. if you drive a car, plz boycott bp! if you have a bike, ride it! and thats just the start.)
4. psyched for the new m.i.a. album
5. i spent $150 online on new bras without reading the return policy carefully, but luckily one was sold out and i got a refund so i'm not stuck with store credit and i got 2 awesome new bras (tmi?)
6. moving house
7. this is mega dorky but: my favorite teacher from high school accepted my friendship on facebook and wants to get coffee when she moves to philly in a few months! i would link a photo of us from my prom but if she knew she would be weirded out.. (shes only a few years older but looks 14, she always got mad at me in math class cause i was a brat and just wanted to gossip with her)
8. going to my first clothing swap this weekend
9. i need to get more zzzs or start drinking coffee

i just got home as soon as it began to pour outside! oh rain please cool this heat wave down, i can barely move!

i hope it's not, but this might be the end of my 30-day-outfit-post challenge. i'll be working all week and i'm not sure how i'll manage to squeeze it in every day. but i'll still try to do a couple, don't think i'm totally abandoning! it was a good exercise while i had way too much free time on my hands (oh free time, i already miss you so!).

i've been searching for a good wall near to where i will be moving. no great discoveries yet, but i liked the avocado green on this one.

in other news, i got a job! a legit one! i'll be working at the gallery where i interned the last few months. so it's not brand new, but i'm excited! and a little nervous too. also it means i will be busy 4 days a week during the day, so i'm going to have to work on getting up earlier if i want to keep taking outfit photos. the harder part is getting alex up early to be my photographer haha. we'll burn that bridge when we come to it..

back in high school, cargo shorts/pants used to be a big joke; like, they were a deal breaker, boy-crazy-crush-wise. and here i am wearing a 60s cargo skirt! oh how the tables have turned. and i am remixing the blouse i wore a couple days ago. i think i like it better this way!

in other news, i'm registered for 2 flea markets next month, one at the piazza and one at the punk rock flea. kinda super excited! also i'm supposed to be having a yard sale this weekend, to get rid of some clutter and make it easier to move.. but i can't seem to stop collecting! maybe i just need to find a better balance in my storage technique (piles).

the weather cooled down which i'm very thankful for, i even had to throw on a cardigan again.

these shots were taken right before i got happy hour margaritas, after which i promptly fell asleep until now.

the roommate situation is falling right into place (fingers still crossed) and i have a friend visiting this weekend! lots of stuff to look forward to! also there's some new duds up in the shop, check em out!

maoz! junior pita, minus the falaffel, wit hummus and eggplant, and stuffed with as much veggies as possible. refil plz. also mos burger in japan is the jumpoff: veg patty made from cool things like lotus root and seaweeds on a rice patty bun!

doing the dishes has really grown on me! amy sedaris says it's her favorite time to think and i have found myself after a day of work/school/whatev wrist deep in soapy water doing the same.

didn't get a chance to do all the things i wanted to do, mostly paddle boating, but did make it to the moon..

a visit to the air & space- i haven't been in a long time, and it's so full of kids it's kind of overwhelming- great for people watching. reader question: do you believe in the moon landing? i was a skeptic for a little while- there's a lot of conspiracy theories you can read about out there, plus no one has been back since the 60s! and seriously- this thing looks so flimsy! all that shiny paper really made it through space??! (okay, i'm mostly jking)
