what a year!

cannot believe so much has happened in just one year! big snowstorm, graduation, moved houses, got a job, got a different job, got a nice camera, just to name a few of my personal milestones.. well here's hoping the next 12 months lives up to this last one- happy new years!

hoppy holidays

whew it's been a nice long week of not working or blogging, mostly just hanging with my parents, seeing a few friends, and overly pigging out (thanks santa). got stuck in some crazy snow between dc and new york but made it in time to see some art museums and do a little shopping (mostly socks- my 9 year old self would totally scoff!)

hope everyone is having fun holidays and getting ready for the new year! i know i've gotta get to the likka store early so i can be poppin' bottles tomorrow night, as they say.. (someone says that, right?)

somebody needs a bangs trim..


i seem to have some sort of complex about wide leg pants, i feel like i'm too short for them and they just shrink me further. so i mostly stick to slim legged trousers, but i couldn't pass up these awesome real-deal vintage sailor pants. pairing them with stripes was a no brainer. and they have 14 lil anchor buttons that just kill me (and take 10 minutes to button up)!

they were fun to skip around in but i think i'm going to have to stick with my trusty skinnies for now. but if any of you long limbed ladies think you can rock em, they are up for grabs in the shop!

holidazy

can't believe its already the end of december! where did the year go?? gosh i better get on a retrospective post soon before i am out of time. i'll be bouncing between philly, dc and new york over the holidays which i am rather looking forward to (yay vacation from work!). i still have some presents i need to think about getting and new years resolutions to come up with... always so much to do!

freezer burn

it is freezing this week! i am not ready for hard core winter, i just want to migrate west. but luckily i just got a circle scarf from taylor house to keep me a little warmer on my bike ride to and from work. only a few months left to get through..

oh, and black swan was amazing. would highly recommend it!

short weekend

this weekend was pretty short for me cause i worked late friday and then all day saturday to help put on a performance art thing. it went smoothly, thank goodness. then i spent sunday grocery shopping for the week (kale! quinoa! yogurt! tortillas!) and relaxing all afternoon and evening. but! i am going to see black swan tonight for sure! totally pumped.

chilly

gotta pile on the layers as it gets frostier and frostier out! this weekend was fun filled, went to see the antlers, stopped by a birthday party, and watched dancer in the dark. not looking forward to this week- it's busy busy as my work prepares for a big performance on saturday and i cross my fingers that nothing drastic goes wrong. and i'm still a little bummed that i'm going to be missing the punk rock flea market this season due to work. but it's funny to think that last year at this time was when we got a huge snowstorm! could very well happen again...
