oh what are those you are wondering? hard to recognize at first, but they are indeed my bare shoulders, out for the first time in ages! what a lovely weekend they had, enjoying some sun and warm air. who knows, maybe bare legs will be next! ..well after it stops pouring rain at least.

easy breezy

okay, i've probably worn out the shorts-over-tights thing by now, but it's become something of a uniform these last couple of weeks. i'm being pretty lazy in this outfit, but the simple buffalo plaid doesn't need much complication. i'm actually quite tempted to pull this shirt from the shop but i know it won't get much wear in a few months when things warm up...

prez wknd

spent a relaxing weekend in dc hanging out with my cat and doing some thrifting, now it's back to the grind and it's snowed last night again, for what is hopefully the last time this winter. seriously. it better be the last one. cause i've got so many spring clothes i can't wait to bust out!

i can't put on these corduroy pants without thinking about that sad lonely bear of the same name.. or his pants were of the same fabric at least (he was seriously named after his pants?). corduroy is sort of a nerdy sad-sack grandpa fabric but i can get down with that. and the wind would not let my hair be normal so here it is all wild and wooly.

new york, new york

what a weekend! it was a whirlwind of new friends, good eats, train rides, waiting in lines, hell's kitchen flea markets, fashion trolls, shopping, and excellent spring weather. could not have asked for a better combination! mel over at idee geniale has a great post with photos of our little blogger meet up, as well as rachel of mousevoxvintage, it was so fun to finally meet all the lovely ladies in person!

i'm off to new york for the weekend! hopefully i'll see a few blogger buds and not freeze my butt off too much. also i don't know how i am going to pack everything. is having two coats and several shoes worth it?! i usually pride myself on being a minimalist packer (aka always having to buy a new toothbrush when i travel..) but i can't pick what to wear! decisions decisions..

super bowl cuts

scored some serious loot thrifting this weekend, including these boots which are sadly too small and this polka dot tunic dress thing. watched some of the super bowl last night which was sorta funny, especially the half time show.. i have no words honestly. the whole thing is just so strange to me.

woo january is finally over! and i've got a busy february, with an upcoming show at work, the superbowl (lol), a weekend trip to new york (sort of for fashion week?), a weekend in dc, valentines day (okay, not really a big deal), both of my parents birthdays, um okay i'm so wild... also i'm vowing to quit complaining about the weather even if we get hit by 3 more feet of snow. gulp.
