i'm not being particularly festive but i got a haircut and i'm at home for the weekend drinking tea and eating tons of holiday treats. also caught a cold and i look like a commercial for nyquil with a red stuffy nose but i'm trying not to be a downer. bah humbug or whatever.

cold front

this weekend was busy busy, between holiday parties, craft fairs, and sleeping all day i'm surprised i got anything done. i managed to squeeze in a little movie marathon, before sunrise and before sunset- both on netflix instant if you want a little ethan hawke hottie body romantic european romp (hint hint, you totally do!!). okay, now i'm off to craft some holiday presents and crank my heat up to 75.

winter has arrived.
i turned my heat on and it's so cozy in my room now. and also so much harder to get out of bed.

it's already time for holiday gifts, i can barely believe it! i'm all about diy budget friendly gifts myself (I.R.L. friends, ya'll can expect some awesome macaroni art and cards i drew on 'upcycled' used printer paper..), but if you've got to get that special something for that special someone (a.k.a. me), here are some ideas from a bunch of awesome things, mostly from rad indie designers and crafters!

my goodness we're in the last month of 2011 and it still doesn't feel like winter. i'm not complaining! i wore this on saturday to a friend's birthday party and there's a funny photo from later that night that i'm not going to show you guys but i will tell you about it- i'm wearing this same thing plus homemade raccoon ears and a beer and i'm flipping the bird.

okay, i'm getting distracted by a little girl dancing in a window across the street from where i'm sitting at my desk. and my room needs cleaning. so i'm gonna keep things short.
