last night i watched this controversially kinky film from 1972, last tango in paris. one of the most sexually frank and also pretty dark narratives from its time, and i would go ahead and say it's dirtier and darker than anything i've seen lately. but in a really interesting and real way. it kind of ruined the young actress maria schneider's career and youth, but it's brilliantly shot and jeanne has some great 70s looks going on.

when i first started college i had a short list of movies i wanted to rent and watch OUT of my parents house (gia and secretary! ha!) ... this one is definitely on the list now!
