Paris for Starters

Many fun things happened in the two magical weeks I spent in Paris. I saw Tilda Swinton and a lot of fantastic art, I ate my weight in camembert and visited Monet's gardens (and some other gardens too, there is no shortage of gardens), and got stung by a bee at the eiffel tower and crashed some parties and kissed a few toads but my favorite thing about Paris was not Parisian at all, it was the wonderful German friend I made, Sabrina. You can sort of make her out in the last photo.

It was all a bit of a surprise to me, as when I was planning the trip I was most excited to see eastern Europe and had expected Paris to be an overrated tourist trap. How wrong was I! Forgive me, Paris, you are totally in my top favorite cities and I don't know how but I can't wait to get back. I learned a few new French words, fripperie: vintage shop, puce: flea market, and vernisage: art opening. All relevant to my interests, obviously. I really need to get around to signing up for that French class.

Most of my film was on the wrong setting causing overexposure and blurryness, but it's still rather pretty to look at.

  3. Paris is magic, of course, but I think probably one of the greatest things here is the fact that you saw Tilda Swinton. She seems so majestically ethereal.
