Toyen was one of the few female surrealists who hung around Paris in the 30s and 40s, as well as helped found the Czech Surrealist Group in Prague. She was a Czech artist who rejected a traditional woman's role and instead lived an independent life, even rejecting her given name and using male pronouns. This is just a little bit of her work.

This artwork is amazingly shocking. I really love it. Great find.
