Erin Riley is one of my favorite artists. I first saw her work at space 1026 a couple years ago and it's one of the few times art has given me real butterflies. She's from Philly and has such an authentic feminist voice which must explain at least a little of why her work pulls on my heartstrings so hard. She weaves amazing tapestries of familiar hedonistic images with such honesty that subverts the woven medium along with the wonton images. Read a little more about her work on Bust.com.
